Default still SD, what heads and cam???

ok, so my car is still speed density. i'm hesistant on converting to MAF because its like $500. anyway, i got a PP typhoon intake, which is identical to the edelbrock RPM if i remember right. i was wondering if i could put gt-40p heads on it and some sort of mild cam(not sure what kind) and still be good without having to convert to MAF???

You sure can! Run whatever intake and heads you want then throw in a crower 11510. Its a awesome SD cam, loads of guys use it with no issues at all. All SD cams usually run a bit rich at idle, but the drivability is still kick ***. There is a few others you can chose from as well please see:

There is lots of info there.

the heads are gt-40p heads with stainless steel valves, screw in studs, crower valve springs, and comp cam rail roller tip rockers 1.6

the reason why everyone says you should go MAF is because even an idiot can tune it. the system offeres more flexibility for the end-idiot-user, and is very simple to work with.

where as SD is usually more accurate, adapts better to climate changes, and is a ton of fun to tune.
