how do u tell when u strip the teeth on the quad?wondering if this is my problem too, my clutch doesnt fully disengage

you have NO clutch pedal at all and it just ratchets... this is not your problem

Oh man i thought about it a little today and i think I know why you cant slide it off. there is another c clip on that piece of the quadrant somewhere by the spring, If you pop your hood and look through the clutch cable hole and have someone play with the pedal you should be able to see it. took me a little time to catch it with my eye before i finally got it off. hope this helps.

ok heres a drastic solution, remove the pedal assembly put the quadrant on get it all back in and put the cable back on the half moon and ur good?>?? iremoved a pedal assembly before, 2 to be exact cus the first was missing the quadrant at the boneyard and i couldnt figure out how to remove it on the second cari think this is the dumbest design for a clutch set!and no adjustment on the tranny! wtf. sometimes ford pisses me off.
like my bronco it has cv axles on both ends of its drive line instead of u joint, nice ford idea, clicks like mad too
