nope... we did an 88' delete and ran a shorter belt, no rub, no shavings, no problem... liek everything though each application is slightly different enough to break your *****.
You might as well go ahead and take the stuff out. It tok me less than an hour to remove the pump and cap off the lines. Took me longer to get the shorter belt.
That's the truth lol
ORIGINAL: ctgreddy
that shouldnt cause any problems
just make sure u get that delete kit.
cause the last owner never got it for my car.
and there is no right size belt
they all either fall off or squeal
i gotta order the kit today.
I did the short belt on my car and have had no problems at all, it's 100% mint.
+1...the size was like 91.5. works fine without the kit. you just have to route the belt differently. the kit is a waste.
so how do you delete the return tube to the back of the motor (88 GT) i just did my exaust and removed the tube from the stock H pipe but i still have the other one.
also i have a smog pump eliminator pulley kit but should i just plug up the tube that goes to the motor or how do you you remove it and cover holes in back of the heads
