i am building a 351 stroker for a 86 notchback
here is what i want to get for it i am slowly piecing it together.

393
13.1 cr
meth injection
custom SR cam from jay allen
pro-systems carb
1 3/4 headers
vic jr intake (maybe ported would it be worth it?)

what heads would be better for this power plant?

TEA 225's (highports)
2.08 I 1.6 E
341 intake @700 lift 258 Exhaust @700

Fox Lake stg1 (Edelbrock Victor)
2.12 I 1.625 E
351 intake 255 Exhaust @700 lift

Please critique my set up i have almost 2,000 saved up for my heads so i almost there for my heads.

i wanting 500-550rwhp with this build am going to be close? any recommendations on RR's?
13to 1 ? dam what you plan on doing with this car btw? drag only ?
strip/street/weekend warrior.

the car will also be on 93 pump gas
you say 93 pump gas but then you say mix with meth for 112 octane.. which one is it going to be?
yea when the gas mixes with the meth it will have a total octane rating around 112-114

No Vic Jr. intake ............. get a Super Victor intake and have it port matched.

either head should be good.

careful on buying RR's early. just had friend had to grind on his
RR's to clear Canfield heads with upgraded springs from JayAllen.

I got the trickflow rockers myself, cause I noticed they had good
spring clearance design.

2" LT headers and 3" exhaust wouldnt hurt either.
thanks for the tips R.barn i spoke with jay and thats what he mentioned.

super vic and 2in headers.

do you think the TEA R series heads or TEA Highports 225's would be better? i have heard both heads are superior

*sighs*

http://www.chiheads.com

part # CHI 3V 225 C/A 8005A $2250.00 - CNC chambers, ferrea 6000 valves and isky springs good for solid rollers up to .625

OR

part # CHI 3V 225 S/A 8005A $2150.00 - same, but with ferrea 5000 valves (still very good, ferrea's are the best valves made)

AND

part # 9.5"W 3V 218-250 4150 $490.00 - intake for those heads on a 351w block for a 4150 style holley

.......and there you go

Yes, they are that good of a head. Brian Tooley posted a dyno sheet of one of his customers with a 427" 11:1 pump gas motor with TEA Highports. It made 611rwhp N/A on pump gas. Several people make headers for them. With the size you'll be going for, you'll probably be using Kooks. I'd also check Accufab to see if they make them large enough.

full do you think they would outperform the CHI heads? i mean they are only a tad over 2k for the pair and hes got 2k for heads...... seems like a match made in heaven.
