For whom uses a Trans Cooler

For whom uses a Trans Cooler
to those who use an aftermarket transmission oil cooler, the unit has to be mounted inline with the radiator system.
Not a stand alone unit. Apparently the unit itself cannot provide the cooling capacity alone.
Is this true?

RE: For whom uses a Trans Cooler
an aftermarket cooler is usually a small heat exchanger, most commonly mounted inline AFTER the radiator. However, you CAN get bigger and more efficient coolers, ones with fans and materials that conduct heat better.
If you are serious about cooling off your AOD... get a cooler with a fan
