Tachometer stuck?

Default Tachometer stuck?

Somehow my tachometer is stuck at around 3000rpms...and im not sure how to fix it..ive heard there is something like a voltage regulator...but im not sure where this is located....any ideas?

your voltage regulator most likely is internal in your alt. i suggest starting with tapping on the instrument cluster. mine gets stuck on 4k sometimes and then i tap it and it goes back to normal. if it doesnt work from there you might have to look at your sensors or replacing the cluster or just the tach
