Default lug nut problem

i had to change the spring at the front of my 88. well after the spring was changed i put the wheel back on to the ?spindles? that the lug nuts bolt on to. well one the the spindles i guess was stripped or something because the lug nut would not want to go on. well i had to drive the car to get safety check and i didnt have tools to fix it so i just kept using the impact gun untill the lug nut went on. so now what are my options. can i take the lug nut off and use a tool to remake the threads? any help would be great.

Well the wheel stud on your car is pressend into the rotor so all you have to do (once you use that impact gun to take that lug back off) is bang out that wheel stud and put a new one on. Not that big a deal, I mean if you changed your own spring then this shouldn't be much of a challenge.

You can go to the auto parts store and get one. just push it through thr back of the rotor and when your installing the tire and lug, the lug will pull the stud through as you are tightening it.
