Shop said the oil pan was somewhere in the car where it shouldnt have been

That sucks man. The shop is telling you that the overheated engine produced enough pressure to blow the oil pan clean off and do $500 in damage to something under your car? That sounds like 100% bull****. I'd want to see the oil pan with the torn bolt holes and the damage to whatever they replaced.

Good luck on the rebuild. Always go bigger.

Pro, Thank God you asked about that. I am still trying to figure out what a BLOWN oil pan back in the car is? What would be the technical term for that? Like a crank no start. Would that be called a blown back pan?

I would definitly look into what the hell they are talking about at that shop.

Crazy rays junkyard in mt airy orjessup. You pick and pull your motor only cost $150 intake to pan. I'll keep my eye out for any local motors being sold.

That sux that you couldn't choose where. A junkyard would be a great place to find a decent engine. If you have the money, build a nice engine while your in there.
