Default RE: broke my block looking at a 351, should i buy?

To be honest, I would get the boss block. You can make it 363 cu in. The 351 might already be bored if he took it to the track and with the nitrous, the cylinder walls could be scarred a bit. I dont know how far you can go with a 351 bore wise but i wouldnt do it. Ive got a couple 302 blocks but even i didnt trust them for my drag motor.

i would go with the 351 and save a few bucks. it seems like you want to save some money and dont need the strength of a aftermarket block.

nab the 351w, order a 393 stroker crank from summit for under 500 bucks, use the stock 351w rods and use standard 302 pistons. no machine work or clearencing is needed. that will make that little fox haul.

the trick flow lower won't fit and the headers wont work and the oil pan won't work not really saving too much money

if i were you i would just look for another 302 as it would be cheaper in the long run
