4-lug bolt pattern question...
I haven't ran across anything on this site yet about it. Is the 4-lug bolt pattern a standard, or is it a metric pattern? I've seen 5-lug conversions for the 4-lug cars. I'm not really interested in doing the swap if it's not needed.
If it's a 4x108mm bolt pattern. There's a wide selection of rims awaiting in those dreaded sport compact magazine ad's. And if it is a 4x108mm pattern does anyone know of some good backspacing measurements for the front and rear.
Also is there any benefits to doing the 5-lug swap? (Other than more selection of rims.)
And last of all... What's the biggest rim and tire(diameter not width)you can fit in the wheel wells of a fox body mustang? I've got some 18" Arelli's wrapped in 35series Nitto's that I had on a ranger (along time ago). That's also why I ask about the backspacing. I can have multiple with those wheels. They're for a front wheel drive. But I have spacers so they fit a rear-drive.( Oh, the car will be lowered with a FRPP kit.)
