Steering shaft digging into the clutch cable?

Steering shaft digging into the clutch cable?
Anyone else have this problem? My steering shaft digs into the clutch cable pretty badly. I noticed yesterday. It appears that it's digging into the actual cable enough to wear it out and get it to stretch since I keep having to tighten up the cable. It's in the joint of the steering shaft. It rubs really hard and so far I can't find a way to keep it from rubbing. I'm afraid I'm eventually going to snap the cable, so I need to know how to stop this. Any advice?

RE: Steering shaft digging into the clutch cable?
It's an aftermarket adjustable cable. The bracket is on there, but bent and isn't secured. Where does it secure at? I've looked at bolting it up, but can't find a place where it would go. I'm having to squeeze it between the header and the steering shaft. Kind of a tight fit. If I move it away from the shaft, it hits the header, and vice versa.
