Default 5.0 95 mustang 5 speed upgardes from stock

hey guy i just bought a 5.0 musatng a 95 5 speed convertable what , in some kind of order, should i start to do to it its all stock except the exhaust please send me some ideas

After a full exhaust system (headers, mid pipe, and cat-back) I would do gears, 3.73's are preferred by most or 4.10's. Then I would do an intake such as an Edelbrock Performer RPM or a Trick Flow Street Heat (depending on your plans for the car.) 1.7 roller rockers are a nice improvment in power if you plan on keeping the stock cam for what ever reason (such as smog.) ... Pulley's are a small upgrade, put a K&N filter in it, remove the air silencer, then unless you are going to do a head upgrade, I would start looking into improving the suspension.

Are your plans straight line performance? Road race? or just a little bit of street dominance?

hmm, dropped 2 tenths in the 1/4 in my 91 when it was stock......hard to believe that more lift/dur would not gain any power, especially when I know first hand.

so going from a 444 lift to about a 471 lift gave you 2 tenths on the 1/4. What exactly were you running before. I can't see that.

Full Length Subframe Connectors
Gears 3.73:1
Advance Timing
Upper/Lower Control Arms
Freshen up Plugs, Wires, Fluids, etc.
K&N Filter, Remove Air Silencer
A new larger MAF, TB, EGR Plate will improve throttle response.
Don't Buy Underdrive Pulleys! They're more or a hassle than they are worth in rwhp gains.

This is a decent laundry list of things... opinions are going to vary, but in my opinion a balance between suspension, engine, and looks needs to be kept for your street car, unless your solely focusing on the 1/4.

im thinking of having this car to the point if i get pulled over im going to go to jail i have a truck and a bike so i will only drive this car for the thrill i plan on going cams air intake longtube headers, because it will prolly run open headers, but as far as suspension and gearing i dont have the wildest clue. i want this car to be fast and loud mainly to pray on the little civics and accuras around my town street legality is not in my mind

Find a 429 or a 460 and shove it in there. Nothing scares imports more then a big block

3.73 gears,short throw shifter,underdrive power pulleys,bbk headers some of the basic's in my signature thats a good start.............Removing the air silencer
