which guages do you reccommend i get..like oil pressure? ive been told the stock ones arent too great.
do u think just pouring a qt. of oil through the valve cover and just let it flow out the bottom of the pan is gonna get it all out? or is there a better way.

go to clausens stinkin and get the mechanical oil gauge by autometer. they have a good price on them right now. you did check piston to valve clearance didnt you. ive seen a few race motors that had that much debris in them on the first oil change but we usually build em loose and not as tight as a street motor. we also run the guts out of em from the word its race ready other than a crank up and cool down session twice or engine dyno pull or three. the copper is whats scaring me cause the rods may be walking already.

i didnt check ptvc b/c i got -5cc dish SRP pistons with the stroker kit from Tims. i told them i was gonna use TW heads but went with the eddys instead but they are the same size heads.
yeah all that copper scared me sh*tless, im checkin the filter tomorrow and see what it looks like. its gonna be a bearing problem, if there is one, either of the crank, which i doubt, or the rods, which would prob. be the issue. im gonna cry if i got to pull that motor again and rebuild [&:]

Sounds like a brainwash victim of Bob the Oil Guy site. Stating, with obvious assertion, that oil quality has actually degraded over the decades is the most rediculous post I have ever read here. You really need to be carefully on what you read on the internet.
