Looking to build street legal motor. Yeah i was also thinking of going with those probe mounts but have not yet done enough research on them. From what i have read here and what i have heard sounds like i might have to bore my block until now that i hear it will just take a H/C/I combo and i can get to 11s.I will be going with the solid lift cam and have not decided on what gears to put in,and on intake upgrade to go with my TFS heads.I just want to get to 11s with out the NOS and with out a supercharger.
Not really on a budget to get where i want to be thats why i was thinking JESSELS but you guys are right about saving the money and throwing it in elsewhere
no sir i'm in KY.

what kind of motor are you building. you could probably go with the probe shaft mounts as they are cheaper.
you could put the extra money else where.
11s are easy to hit with the proper set up

solid cams..do have to be adjusted often, they are really not made for the daliy grind of street use as in wear. off the shelve ones don't offer many with wide C/L for good vacuum
hyd. cams have great benifits with reduce fictions, the ramps of the lobe open valves faster per inch of lobe making then a great choice for any street engine from mild to wild..they pull great vacuum for all your accs.

flat-tappet....are a choice of many non-roller blocks who can't or don't want to spend the $$$$ for retro liters,etc....ramp speeds are slow, not alot of choice now days, wear a lilttle more than a roller..C/L must be a little tigher to get the engine to rev faster and larger lifts are needed which will cut into driveablity issues

for just a little weekend 302. I don't know why you'd want to go with a racing solid cam or jesel shaft mounted rockers. Thats like equiptment to go run some high 9's or something. Not 11's.

For 11's, all you'd need, like Fullauto said is a decent H/C/I combo and some gears with some sticky tires and good driving. Save your money on exspensive shaft rockers and spend it elsewhere.
