RE: 95 5.0 has a bad skip please help!!!
lol, i like the pulling the plug wires off one by one trick. I just take a long wire straight to ground and hold it near the wire im pulling off. The whole path of least resistance thing. After you get zapped like 10 times you learn its not fun lol. Its only dangerous for the car on newer vehicles, besides the fact you'll have a "dead" cylinder and if you leave it off too long you'll have gas in the exhaust....... The coil could be the problem, let the car warm completely up, shut it off, put a spark plug with a pretty wide gap(a lot wider than wut you would run) in (on the distributor end ogf the coil wire) and put the electrode to ground, then crank the motor over, it should jump the gap with a healthy spark, no miniscule lil flash or anything

Ford SFI OBD-I systems do have the capability to check for misfires, within some limitations of course......it's called the Cylinder Balance Self-Test .....Q here, when you have the skip problem present, does the tach needle also jump?......if so, you may want to check the PIP/Stator sensor......This might be of help.
