really depends on your goals and how much power you'll be making. If you're not planning anything too radical, the 1 and 5/8's will be fine.

I also have 1 5/8. Big improvement for a street car. Might as well get a nice set of long tubes if you are gonna go 1 3/4 imo

So a 1 5/8 short,long,or mid? Ceramic,chrome,powder coated? Can I only runa shorty on mine? 94 GT 5.0

shorties are a ton easier to install on our cars.
and ceramic coated is the best type i believe.
and u dont have to run a shorty.
but to install long tube headers you have to "rock" the motor which would be more than its worth.
exspecially since last time i checked long tubes only give you like 1 or 2 more hp than shorties.

yes.
you simply unbolt the old headers.
and put the new ones on.
u can use the same bolts.
but make sure your headers come with gaskets because you will need new ones.

yes they are a direct bolt on, also deff get the cermaic coated ones, if you get the chromies, theyll look like my bbk's, lets just say they arent chrome anymore[:@]
