Default 351w Flywheel Question

Ok Ive been having starter problems and Ive finally decided to pull out my flywheel. I got it out and measured it with a Dial Indicator and it was off .020 now is this enough to damage my starters? Also I was just gonna replace it anyways because I was told it was pretty bad. From what Ive been reading im gonna need a 157T flywheel 28 oz ? its for a 351w with T5 tranny. Any help will be greatly appreciated

Do I have to get it balanced? And does it have to be aftermarket or can I get one from a 85 Mustang 157T 28oz?

It could probably be from anything as long as it's 157T 28 oz. But honestly, you should spend the extra cash and get a good quality billet steel or aluminum flywheel to replace it, as the stockers don't fair too well with too many mods. I got my billet steel flywheel (same one you need) from Astro Performance. I think it was like $170 to my door. Thats CHEAP. Just remember if you buy from them, check the flywheel bolt holes before installing it. It takes a 5/16 x 18 bolt, but my holes had to be retapped to fit a 5/16 x 18. It would only thread in about 2 turns until I retapped it which took all of5 minutes. So you need to question them about that first. Otherwise, it's been good so far.

10.5" 157tooth 28oz

Yes you need to have it "matched balanced" to your old flywheel.
they will need both to do it.
