Default Lifters

So I'm putting my 351 together, and I just flipped it over to put my oil pump and pan setup on the motor. And I heard my lifters moving around, is it possible for them to fall out of the holes into the area under the intake manifold.
I have a Flat tappett 351 Windsor. Thanks for the help gentleman, I apreciate it.

Default RE: Lifters

if no pushrods are installed yes they all just fell out.

if the cam/lifters are new its no big deal just reinstall them. if the cam/lifters is used your screwed cause they need to be installed in the same hole they came out of (due to wear pattern) or they will wipe out yoru cam lobes with a quickness.

flat tappet cams are touchy like that.
