repainting my taillight housing. what paint

i am going to repaint my taillight housugs today. i am going to paint them black. is there a good brand/type of spray that will last a long time without chipping?
and should i use primer? do i need to sand the housings? if so what grit?

scuff them up with a red scotchbrite pad the npaint with some trim paint
