Default Ford Crate engine with Protopline head worth it

can get my hands on a ford motorsports with pro-topline heads for about $2500(maybe cheaper)with 10k miles on it....is it worth it???? or should i build a probe rotating assemblie with ported gt40p heads???

wow. if the flowsheets are correct, those are serious heads...

seems like a bit much for a used motor, but given those heads, try and talk him down to like 1900

thats the only thing that worries me USED motor. it made 513wrhp or somthing it had a s.c on it. my friend helped the guy build the car.

well if they knew what they were doing then spend away, or you could build a motor from scratch, all depends on how much $ ya got to play with, the faster it goes the more $$ its gonna cost ya.

yea i know but my future plans are n02, turbo, or s/c and not sure if the bottom end is gunna be ok for long term. the guy had a vortech s-trim and made 516whp. only had it in the car for about 10k miles over the last 2 years.

the full setup with the heads will cost you over 1000$ so i would go ahead and buy it,, i like my pro topline (RHS(COMP)) heads they are nice and flow great

Personally, I'd tear it down and check the internals.Rings, bearings etc.
