you dont heat thebolt you heat around the bolt
Correct. The concept is that when metal is heated up, it expands. So you take a torch to the area around the bolt. The bolt hole heats up and expands, leaving you with extra room to try to yank the bolt out. Good luck, do it fast! They cool down quick!

The tools name is an easy out and as stated above: "drill it put the tool in and back out the bolt and the stuck bolt issue is gone" HA HA HA LOL LOL You smoke crack or what??? if it were that easy it wouldn't of broken off. gauranteed the best way will be to remove the timing cover leaving as much of the shank exposed so you won't have to drill easy out and re tap hole... then lightly heat around the base of the bolt and using a stud removal tool or good ole fashioned vise grips back out bolt. if all else fails cut off flush and drill it out re tap or install a helicoil
