A couple upgrades
One of my friends has an 89 Mustang and he has done a couple bolt ons. He has a cobra upper and lower intake, fuel pressure regulator, bigger mass air meter, shorty headers, h-pipe without cats, magnaflow cat back, electric fan, in-fender cold air intake and maybe bigger fuel injectors... not sure.
Does the 89 mustang know to send the right amount of fuel to get the air-fuel ratio where it is supposed to be after there extra air upgradesor do you have to adjust fuel pressure, etc to get it where it is supposed to be?

RE: A couple upgrades
If he matches the parts correctly.....yes. If you alter the MAF transfer curve, the logic in the computer will react to the new demand......provided it falls within a specification that will not be interpreted as a failure by the system.
