Will a t-5 from a 95 gt fit in my 88 gt? I heard that 94-95 had a longer input shaft, but there all t-5s bolted up to a 302...... any info???? thanks.

No, It will not fit unless you change the input shaft.

Why would they be different trannys if they bolt to the same blocks? Would it work if I used the flywheel from the 95?

no, you have to swap the input shaft and use a fox specific bellhousing.

the bellhousing was made deeper and the input shaft made longer because the passenger compartment was moved further back in the SN-95 body style... the engine is literally 1" further away in an SN-95 than it is in a fox.

So, if I used the bellhousing from the 95, it wud work? Would I need a shorter driveshaft?

no, then your mounts wouldnt line up, driveshaft would be too long, shifter would hit the trans tunnel...

why dont you just suck it up, and swap the damn input shaft.... its a friggin 30 minute job
