Default Drag race rims/tires on 90 LX

Hey guys. I have a 1990 lx

I am looking to drag it out with some Draglites.. 15x8 in rear and 15x4 in front.

what i need to know is the offset i need for max tire size (clearance ).. for rears i been hearing a 5.5 offset.. and i hear fronts dont matter to much if your running a skinny. lookinf for that drag look.

also a good place to get a Cowl hood would be great..

any advice and what to buy would help greatly.. thx a ton

Any quality cowl hood is going to definitly cost ya, either from harwood or cervinis. I got 4.5 inch backsapce for draglites on the back of my car and a mickey thompson 28x10.5 11.7 section width got cut by my inner wheel well but mine is a 94. I am putting a 26x10 on it 11.0 section width.

I hear a lot of people running 5.5" backspace on rears.. i assume that means on an 8" rim there is 5.5" of open width on the back side.. bringing the wheel and tire in closer to the center of the diff.. correct?

sorry.. ia m new to this tire tech :P

a little help on the back is to reverse your quads end for end, it'll allow you 10 1/2" tire w/ stock rims

only good glass makers i have seen : harwood, cervinis, HO fibretrends

if you try to save $100 it'll cost you $250 in fitment and paint prep

i agree, spend a little more now for a quality hood and save big money at the paint shop.

I'm running weld draglites measuring 15X10 with a 6.5" backspacing and 28/10.50/15 MT drags along with the matching skinnies up front. The rears had to be "massaged" a bit as well as the fender lip rolled up but i have a full 10.5" print on the ground putting me at the 60' in 1.56 seconds on motor. I guess what i'm saying is no matter what tire and wheel your using ,it doesnt work unless your suspension is working first.
Now i know that you said the look is what you wanted so for that, it looks bad ***...MEAN just as big and littles do for a fox body. I hope you have the go for the show because people with mess with you on the road.
BTW.... my car is a 92' notch
