yea dude, you can make serious power with pushrod motors and still have plenty of $ left over. most mod motors do kick butt, but it takes alot of $$ to get them there. if you want to wax a gt500 motor in whatever car, get a dart block make it a 408 or something and boost that biotch with a turbo, then may god have mercy on ur soul b/c you will never want to go to a mod motor after that.

thats alot of money that could be saved with a custom engine or junk yard 351 rebuild, look at all your options first.

94 and up 351 roller block, punch it over to a 408, run RHS 215cc heads and 42lb injectors, comp cams xfi cam, 7qt custom oil pan, probe pistons, eagle crank, scat rods, trick flow or holley intake, paxton supercharger (new style with self contained oiling system). build that, then hang the hell on.... you will dominate the gt-500 and you will have less than half the cost of the mod swap.
