Default more HP from plugs?

are there any sparkplugs that increase hp or deliver a strong spark to get the most bang out of the gasoline? if so, what is the best brand to buy.

also, I saw an MSD dizzy cap for sale at Advance Auto, will one of those fit what appears to be a stock dizzy? mine has a blue cap, but it has a lil metal tag that reads "Elite or Exell" on it, I cant remember, Ive had work all week so I havnt worked on the car much

sparkplugs dont "increase" horsepower, really.
a good plug will allow the motor to create what it is capable of producing, while a crappy plug does just the opposite.

Autolite 25's are just fine.

There are two types of spark plugs; Ones that work and ones that don't. If they work then you'll have no problems. If they suck and don't work, then you'll have problems.

I will admit, curiousity got the best of me and I tried a set of the Bosch platinum +2 plugs that had two tips. Biggest ****ing mistake and waste of my money. You know how long they were in there? They lasted about 3 pulls on the dyno. Spittering and sputtering. They were so horrible that the spark was actually extinguishing under boost. And of course, you're not gonna get much power out of a cylinder where the spark plug can't properly fire.

I left the car on the dyno (it was my friend's dyno in his garage so I coudl leave it there) and went to grab some plain copper autolite 24s. Popped them in and proceeded to lay out 430rwhp, lol.

Wasted all that money on those plugs and ended up tossing them that same day.

i would have taken them (and the dyno sheets) back to the parts house and gotten your money back

actually......you can make more power but imo it's not worth it

not by changing plug, but the gap

bigger gap will make more power, not much more but a little more

what you risk is opening them too much and losing spark, stock is .052" i gap at .040" but i spray and have had trouble w/ .052" gap previously

I just wrote it off as a dumb mistake. I knew that it probably wasn't the greatest idea. I just didn't think it would aboslutely kill my car, lol. I don't mean a loss of a few HP. I mean it could not run at WOT because the spark would keep blowing out.

I bet I probably could have returned them though, lol.

actually, i read an article in muscle mustang and they were testing a 03 cobra with different sparkplugs and there were a certain kind that added a very significant amount of power compared to other brands, a clear winner. let me search
