Default I know another gear question.

I know your tired of hearing questions on or about gears but I have to ask this. I have a aod with 2.73 in the back. I'm looking to upgrade to 3.73 or 4.10 and I cant decide. I don't travel far for school or work maybe 20 miles west from my house to work and 25 east of my house to school. What would be the best gear. Also is 4.10 really that bad with a t-5? (I'm only asking this question about 4.10 with a t5 because if I blow my aod I'm thinking of putting a t5 in maybe) I'm not worried about gas mileage since my thing is if your worried about that then don't own a v8.. I really just want opinions on what I should do. Should I go 3.73 or 4.10.

4.10 for an aod. I think it would be to much gear for a T5. You would be at 6 grand before you know it in first gear. I think the most I would go with a T5 is 3.73's. I have 3.55's for mine and they worked great on all of my old stangs that I had.

I had a aod with 3.73"s was a turd off the line still after that hauled a**Now mine is a t-5 , converted it!! Get 4:10 's in a aod equipped car and a 2500 to 3000 stall and you'll be lighting a fire under your a**.

With a stock 3.35 first gear and 3.73 rear I couldn't go more than 25 in first. With 2.95 first I can get a tad over 30. If I got a new rear and was changing i would go 4.10 either way

a little but not much remember you have overdrive the get up and go off the line is what you'll use the most.

If they want to race from a roll that's gay[sm=forgetit.gif] because who ever has the taller gears usually wins.i KNOW......if the world were perfect every race situation would originate from a stop and not a roll!!! personally I'm a 1320 man!!!

Would you still recommend 4.10's? Is there that much of a difference between 3.73 and 4.10?
