ok so im replacing my fuel pressure regulator. and i go to napa and order one its the wrong one. the sent me a regulator with three legs instead of two. so he trys and finds me one and has to order for a 1995 f150 with the 302, why is that,

I thought that a Mustang and truck 302 wouldve used the same regulator. Maybe the warehouse only has the truck part? Dunno.
Take the old one with you when it comes in. If its not the same part id go elsewhere. They dont know what theyre doing.

find a guy who knows what they're doing at the parts store, half the time you probably know more than what he does....it's typical now to find parts counter people who if they can't find it on their computer screen then they don't have it or the part doesn't exist. iT'S HARD TO FIND A GOOD PARTS PERSON . best of try a different counter person or different store.

How much are you paying for the regulator? Don't let htem screw you on price. You can buy a new Kirban adjustable fuel pressure regulator for $75 - $85. I'm assuming you'd rather have a decent adjustable one instead of a stock one.
