hey all i am looking into changing from red to black or gray. i dont know if i am going to find a nice set or blcack or gray interior molding with the consol. so i was wondering if i were to paint it would it come off. like i would prep the surface and then put a few coats on it. but wouls it peel off? i would be using this car only in the summers but i dont want it to peel, or i would just buy a new set.

paint the interior if its in good shape. if not get new moldings, and i dont think you have to worry about peeling.

what paint should i use? anything taht would work best? and gloss or flat?

The problem with painting it is that there is a real good possibility that if you scuff it or scrape(with anything sharp) it that the original color will show back up again.

I definitely wouldn't go with gloss black.. I think more of a satin black.
