are you positive that each of the clamps and hose connections are tight and proper?
you tell us that this car will not start, but yet you say you can hear more suction, simply by spinning the motor?
i'm gonna guess that you accidently folded the rubber sleeve connecting it to the TB, and you have a good inch wide vacuum leak right there, creating the noise you hear, and causing it to not start.
I am positive every hose connection is tight and proper. The car kind of starts, but only for maybe a second. If we give it some gas, it'll stay running, but it'll idle REALLY rough. When it stays running, you can definately HEAR the difference, and you can even FEEL the air going into the filter. We've gone over all the "duh" ****, as we are not stupid. I was just hoping that someone who owned a 5.0 might have a similar problem and could tell me how to resolve it. I can see this is going no where, though. I thank you all for the help, anyway. We have installed CAI and SRI on other cars before, V6 Accord, p.o.s. Neon, 4.6L Mustang, 305 Camaro, 350 Firebird, and ALL of them worked just fine. We have tried on 3 seperate occasions to install this one, and everytime it's a no go. Again, thanks for the help.

Well then you are definately doing something wrong. Unless the intake tube has a potato stuck in it, the car should run fine. A CAI will not cause a lean condition, and will not cause the car to back fire or run rough. The reason you are not getting any "good helpful feedback" is because not many people have trouble tightening a few hose clamps. Your problem is one of a kind, which puts either the installer or the product in question.
