Throw out bearing just about went up on the way home last night, which is fine because it was almost time for a new clutch anyways. I'm going with the King Cobra clutch, since I'm not pushing too much HP and won't be for a while.

My question is, what tranny fluid does everyone use? I figured while i have it out might as well frain and refill.

I use royal purple syncromesh.... works great or some type of synthetic auto tranny fluid will be fine.

the syncromesh is the one that says its made for manual transmissions correct? Did you feel any difference in shifting when you went to the royal purple?

yes the syncromesh is for manual trans... it felt like it did before the change normal....the only reason I switched is I saw a dyno test run (horsepower tv) using standard fluids and after all fluids were switched to royal purple the camaro they used as a test car picked up 8 rwhp. whether or not it works I figured it's worth a try

I saw the same episode. pretty crazy wasn't it. figured tranny fluid isn't something i will change often so I might as well get the good stuff
