suspension suspicion
so just a few questions. what exactly causes a rough ride. i just goin along everything is fine, soon as there is a change in surface height the car ...clunks? i guess thats the best way to desribe it. my windows shake n shyte basically. i dont think its shocks because i know when those go out your ride gets bouncy. i'm equal height on all sides and its a pretty smooth ride bet damn, every time there is a pot hole, step up or down its jarring to the car.
im just curious, i will be replace all the suspension, just curious what is the cause? anything i should check as well?

RE: suspension suspicion
all 5.0's that are running stock suspension do it.
you need springs, new spring isolators, and new shocks.
ball joints wouldn't hurt either. ball joints are the very first point of impact upon the suspension.
after all that, depending upon your part selection, it will either ride a bit better, or the same, or it will ride like a cadillac. its all in what you choose.

my plan is tube k-member, coil over fronts. (is there coil over kits in the rear?) what else should i look at getting? i know i need to choose a type of spring selection, i want a....in the middle coil, drag race, cornering for road and auto cross racing. its mostly a dd but maybe a couple times a year i will go to a course or strip. i also want a decent ride.
what else do i need to replace considering all of the above?

your talkin lots of cash, and lots of downtime.
your also looking to achieve more than you can really hope for.
if you want an auto-cross suspension, you can't put drag race parts into it.
drag racing suspension requires loose front parts, for weight transfer to the rear.
auto-x requires stiff components all the way around, to keep the whole car planted as hard as it can.

i already priced out lots of suspension components i want to start with.
u/l control arms, rear end snubber(whatever is called), tube k member(my current one is and looks like crap), coil over fronts. i'll match with rears if that is a good idea, otherwise change springs and shocks.
