Default couple ?'s

1. my temp gauge gradually gets hotter as i drive.. this doesnt make sense to me.. cuz it ran fine b 4 i had my no start issue (turned out to be the coil) . also, i had taken off my upper intake and put it back on. i tried burping the system but it still does it.. any ideas? the coolant level is fine and i can see it moving around when its on and warm.

2. my car is ideling at like 1200rpm. and could my timing be too advanced? and would that cause the rise in temp? i also want to re-time my car but im not sure on where to put the marks on the balancer and if i have to make any others. i want 14* but i want to start it at 12*.. idk where it is now..

under & over torqueing will cause it to leak as well.. that would be my guess for the idle problem, as long as the idle problem started after you pulled the intake

well it started after i pulled the intake but i also had messed w/ the dizzy a little.. i marked where the rotor was pointed but i could have been off a little when putting it back. i tightened them down snugly.. not loose and i didnt crank em either

the starting fluid didnt do much of anything.. but un pluggin the vac line and putting it back on the fuel regulator helped a little.. now its at like 1100.. but it ideled at like 900 b 4 i messed w/ it
