update from last night code 33
Ok, I did the koeo and koer tests tonight. Got all clear on the koeo, but in continuous memory and engine running I am getting code 33 (canister or EGR valve not operating properly) Anyone have tis code? and what was causing your problem? Where should I start looking, I don't just want to throw parts at it hoping to get lucky! I was doing some checking and found in the vacuum schematics, that the air bypass valve is supposed to be oriented 15-20deg from vertical. Why is this? When I put mine back together I put it in the vertical position.Should I move it?

Back on topic, my car has a code 94 and 33 in its history, but no MIL or anything of that sort. Do you have a light on?

i had the same code... i took my egr off, cleaned it out real good with carb cleaner and lot's of towels. that thing was nasty, cleared the codes, ran it for a few days, then pulled the codes again and now it's gone. might help might not. if so it's an easy fix. but you'll wanna get the egr gasket first, it's pretty gunked up and falls apart.

I did clean out the EGR a few weeks ago, and it wasn't too bad. Unless it is the sensor on the valve, but I think that is a different code tho. Anyone know what the "canister" is that the code is refering to?
