try using a slim jim to unlock it, our cars are super easy to get to with those. also try using the inside handle to open it (since it unlocks the car) and bump it with your shoulder.

if you actually managed to break the actuater arm trying to pull it up, that puppy is frozen solid. nothing you do is going to open this door with the panel still on. even a slimjim wont work.

i hate to say it, but at this point, you might have to cut through the panel to get that door open.

yeah i get the feeling i have to resort to that, which sucks. what a crappy problem to have. stupid little stuff like these just get me angry...

i was wondering though.. hows the actuator get frozen? i mean if i hit lock it would fully lock. its just when i hit unlock it came up half way...

if it's frozen wouldn't it not move in either direction?

anything could have happened inside that door panel, bro.
i wouldn't want to start guessing at what caused this...
like i said, if you cant get that arm to come up all the way, you gotta get the panel off and take the actuator off so you can unlock it.

I am very sorry to tell you this but, you may need to amputate the door. I will give you a second alone with your car now.

to use the slim jim just go to the outside of the car (with the window up). slip the slimjim with the hook down into the door against the glass just above where the keyhole is. scoop from side to side up and down until you hook it on something, thats usually the locking mechanism. then just pull/wiggle upwards carefull not to slip and cut yourself with the thin metal until it hopefully opens up

OH! i just thought of something else. this should be last resort before tearing into your door panel. if you can, take off your passenger fender and loosen the hinges on the door. it should cause the door to pop off the lock.
