Default leaky macs

I have some fugly grey mac shorty headers from the guy i bought the car from. this is the second time they lose header bolts (this time it lost 2 bolts, 1 on the number four clinder and 1 on the number one cylinder)

i bought new bolts, stage 8 from autozone and put them on and eliminated one of the leaks but the other one is still leaking. im guessing the gasket is dead and wont seal anymore.
question: is it worth replacing the gasket now or can i wait a few weeks till i get my new bbk longtubes? i dont want to hurt my new crate engine heads before i pay them off lol

thanks guys

side note, i really hope the bbk are better than this because the quality anf finish on these macs is really crappy, they make my new engine look like shart

To keep bolts tight use some loc washers. If you dont drive it too hard yu should be ok for a couple weeks till you get other ones. But i would get some lock washers to keep bolts tight for now.

Percy's "dead soft" aluminum gaskets are supposed to be re-usable, and after putting a set on my car I believe it. You could try a set of those and just switch 'em to the new motor in a few weeks.

I had MACs......

Installed them, they leaked...

Replaced the gaskets, they leaked....

Lost bolts...replaced them...they leaked.....

Then, they rusted after a YEAR!!!!

Now, I have BBK Ceraminc Shorties.....no leaks

My opinion, MAC is CRAP [:@]
