Put a turbo on it and you will get new headers as part of the deal

turbo will be easier than stroker and replace some of
the exhaust system you need to replace at same time.

Call those guys I gave links on and they can get
a good turbo kit done up for you to meet your wants and needs.

you'll have to upgrade your fuel system and get a blow-thru
carb but no big deal.

347 stroker w/ 400HP 400 TQ - $3,700
or
347 stroker w/ 430HP 444 TQ for $4,100.

You can get it from these guys. But I must say, a good turbo will be much more fun

its hard to reach 400 rwhp with a turbo, but you're gonna need to address the rest of your drivetrain. don't 83 gt's only have a 7.5 rear axle? those aren't very strong and won't hold up to 400 hp for very long.

i don't think the trannies of those years are all that great either?

is your car completely stock?
