I am just in the process of converting my 89 Mustang LX to four wheel discs and five lug wheels. I bought the SSBC's conversion kit and would be interested in hearing from any others who have done likewise. Most of the kit seems well made and thought out but there were several glaring troublespots.
Some of the equipment supplied did not match the equipment in the instruction pictures, some of the parts were not mentioned in the instructions and some of the diagrams referred to in the written instructions were not actually given. Intructions are very important yet SSBC's intructions were flawed.
Also rear brake pads didn't even come close to fitting necessitating in more expense; the emergency brake cables were also incorrect.
Why don't companies pay more attention to their instructions? I have had similar problems with other aftermarket parts/kits.
Fortunately and to be fair SSBC did provide good service via the phone but with a little more care and attention that wouldn't have been necessary.
