Default Cheap Battery Mount for Trunk

What is the cheapest way to securely mount a battery in my trunk? I just want to spend 5-10 bucks at a hardware store if this is at all possible.

you might need to spend a little more than 5-10 bucks. you need the wire which will cost more than that right there. a universal hold down kit from autozone and if you want your own encloser you can make out of mild steel

I already have all the wiring. I just need to know the cheapest way to mount it. I dont really care about it being in a box. Could i just get battery bolts that have that straight piece that goes over top the battery?

battery in trunk to clean up engine bay clutter and better weight transfer on launch. getting rid of a/c and smog pump help your engine rev up quicker freeing up some ponies.

to answer your other questions go to autozone and get a decent looking universal battery hold down kit. its no that much, at least worth checking out. otherwise yea a couple straps would hold it down.....crappy lookin but i guess it would work

they put it on the back for weight distubution, thats the only thing i can think of. they get rid of the ac to free up the pullies and gain hp, but if the clutch is not locked and ur not using ur ac then i really dont know

make sure you use large enough wire to carry the current properly
