Torque converter

RE: Torque converter
Well what are your plans for the car? It's important to match it up to your other mods as well. For example, if you have an engine setup that makes most of it's torque around 2,500 RPM but you have a 4000 stall, then it's gonig to slip like hell and it's going to overheat. Just like any other major mod... you have to match it up to the rest of the car.

You can always go bigger, and a lot of people will say that 3000 may be too small. But again, it all comes down to what your mods are and what your plans are. The last thing you want is to have it slipping all day and overheating. Because if that happens, consider it dead in no time. How high were you planning to go? Is this a street driven vehicle or drag only? What other mods do you have?
No sense in getting a 4500 stall covnerter if you're stock and redline at 5900 or something. Also no sense in getting a converter with a 4500 stall if you're making power in the 2500 - 3500 range.
It's all about matching parts. It's just like a camshaft, intake, etc. You have to match them together, else you'll end up with garbage.
