Hey. I have a 1990 5.0 Lx. I just installed some BBK chromeshorty headers, Mac Catless X-pipe, and a magnaflow cat back system (Part # 15630). There is fumes comming out the pipes and it smokes a bit, and smells like something you shouldn't breath in lol. Anyways I'm looking for the possible cause of this smoke? I thinkthe smell is because of the no cats and that the hot air is burning off all the coating on the new pipes? Any other suggestions? Thanks for your time.

I'd say that's exactly right. I bet the exhaust will smell better after you get some miles on it. It may continue to smellworse than before now that you have no cats though.

Sounds like its just the burn off. It will go away plus if you have no cats you get a more raw smell that you will get use to .I like it. My cats got pluged and it smelt like rotten eggs !!.......sick [:@]
