Default Shift Kit

i have my car at the tranny shop and i forgot to tell them i need a shift kit, so monday i will let them kno. whats the best out there? what about the Transgo Performance shift kit?
also the guy at the shop said that the fin type b&m tranny cooler has more flow restriction vs. the tube type, how much truth is there to that? mine tranny cooler is a 14,400btu, kinda small i would think, its got a low pressure bypass. i might just use it for an oil cooler.[/align]

let them use whatever shift kit they like using, they are less likely to screw up installation and im sure they know what works and what doesnt anyways. thats kinda their job ya know?

they seemed very biast about what stuff they used. (they have a 4000hp car that runs 4sec in the 1/4 and nonight at No Problem raceway they said they might run 3's!!!!!!)
i was told they did very good work, so im not worried there. the first time i talked to them, he said c4 all the way, aode will not hold up. i need my overdrive so its not an option. when i brought the car the other morning, it idles real low at like 750rpms, b/c i got the TB set like that, it sounds cool lol i have had like 3 people say it was missing, then i rev it and they are like o its a cam LOL
so the tranny guy says its either running bad or you have too big of a cam. im like thats just the cam, its idles low. he looked at the cam specs and said my cam was too big, i kept my mouth closed. XE270HR-14, doubt it! lol
and my tranny cooler http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku
he said the fin type has more flow restriction than the tube type, he said go buy a tube type.
i got a remote tranny filter, he said the same thing about that and that its just another thing to clog up and cause problems. i kno they have done this and that and kno what works but **** mechanics that think they kno everything are ********!
anyways whats your thoughts on the cooler suggestion?

I have an Art Carr shift kit and i love it! With the Transgo kit, Ive heard that it allows the tranny to shift into OD at WOT. Not a good idea..... As far as the tranny cooler, the fin type will work better IMO, cuz the tube type doesnt get as much airflow. I have a fin type, and I dont have any issues....

i got the transgo aod-hp. this is the best if u want to do it right. u can do things to prevent shifting to 4 in wide open throttle. i suggest u visit clickclickracing.com its devoted to automatic stangs.
