I think the 5.0 is an interference motor...... The interference motors do not have enough clearence with the valves and pistons if a timing chain or belt snaps, where a non inteference has enough room that the valves will not come in contact with the pistons if a timing belt snaps.

i just got my remanufactured motor from a company called surefire through autozone it cost me like 2170 but i know its gonna laswt and has a 3 year warrenty it was either that or recon and from the research i did on this website it seems no one has anything nice to say about recon and apperearntly niether did the people at autozone when i asked them about the recon motors they just gave me a dirty look and told me recon isnt worth the trouble
