Default ? containing oil

i was wondering when i do my oil change on my 1988 lx hatch that i recently bought would it be bad to switch to full synthetic oil

yes its bad, the synthetic will reveal leaks the dino stuff was plugging

None of that even happens anymore much that was back in the day when there were dif detergents in the dif oils, and no its not a waste of money its always better just it is a lot of money its like 6 bux a quart now for synthetic.

unless better mileage, less wear, doubling the change interval, and more hp is a waste or somehow bad, don't do it

if those things sound good to you, then do it.

i have been using synthetic since about 1992 , i can tell you the oilis still gold after 3000 miles, i typically change 5000-6000 , the extended interval alone cuts the price in half, you'll get maybe 1-2 mpg more, a few hp, and virtually no engine wear once you start using it.

i'm not even gonna get into the chemistry of the negative ionic charge that causes the oil to cling to parts even after sitting for months so when you start dry, your really not dry. i'll just leave it at" use it" if you like your car
