hows it goin guys,, well ive recently purchased an 88 lx 5spd, and i was wondering.., just thinking about putting my aod in it. any tips on the swap..? only reason , actualy 2 reasons why.., i loved the way my last 5.0 would run with this tranny (aod) <2,200 stall, heavy dutie clutches, and shift kit. O yeah.. it has less than 2,000 miles on it., 2nd reason.., i hate miss shifting.. haha.. i felt way more consistant off the launch with my aod..! any tips on swap.. ??

talk to whitefoxgt... he did it opposite... from aod to t5... but im sure he can give some insight....

anything wrong w. the 5 speed? shift good and all? wanna sell it?

First off, smart move. Second off, you can use the same driveshaft and crossmember. You will need a 164 tooth 50 oz flexplate. And I would replace your 2200 stall with a 3000 stall and install some 4.10s.

yeah on my last 5.0 the tranny was in i was running high 13's on healthy stock motor and of course 3.73's..! ripped real good..! well i have everything i need except on the flexplate..anywhere i could get one..? if i do the transplant i will sell the T-5.

it should be easier to go the way you are then the other way. putting a t5 in you need to massage the shifter tunnel a bit but since you have a t5 car you shouldn't have to do any of that.

I did an AOD to 5-speed swap. I have a flexplate I can sell you. I also have a pretty good torque converter. I will have to check on the stall speed. PM me if you are interested.
