i think the gears themselves are fine on the freeway but your rpm's will be pretty up there.
so you'll get really bad gas mileage.

Same as 4.56's, are alot of gearing for the highway. Some 1 ton trucks are geared steep like that. The real question is what is the primary purpose of the car and how much comprimise are you willing to make.

Even my 3.73's are a bit much for me. I want to change to 3.27's and most Mustang owners ask WTF??

The primary purpose of my Mustang is daily driver and my commute involves highway. So 95% of the week when I'm commuting down the highway and everyone is driving 120-130km/hr. My engine is revving at 2500-3000rpm needlessly and also getting poor mileage.

The other 5% of the time when I'm enjoying the acceleration off the light. I think I'd rather put up with having a taller gear.

Even the 5% of the time I'm enjoying the deep gear. I don't have enough tire to truely take advantage of the deep gears.

If you do a lot of highway driving and or it is a daily driver I would stick with 3.73s...I roll with 4.10s but only drive my 5.0weekends etc....turns at least 3k around 70mph....

So does that mean you would never think of getting 4.10s or you would never think of getting anything but...?

only reason would be the high rev on the freeway and loss of mpg
