Default need some big help

i just bought an 88 lx last night. and it is in worse shape then what i thought.none of the blinkers or hazards work, when i turn the high beams on the dash light go out and both blinkers come on and stay on, under acceleration it pops sometimes - i think its the fuel pump as did my friend but it has a mass air conversion. i bought a fuel pump so ill try that but if anyone knows anything about these problems please help.

sounds like someone did a hack wiring job or there not grounded right as far as your lights go
try greasing the entire throttle body or for the 50 dollars just buy a new one, mb ur butterfly is sticking or something
id swap out all the fuses and bulbs in the lights before doing anything else far as electrical

I had a problem with popping also and I know how to fix it.....First check to see if there are stock MAF meter and sensor also stock 19pnd injectors. The popping usually comes from running rich... Which can be caused by both. If they are both stock I would start with a new MAF might not be reading the intake correctly' Hope this helps, I know it helped me........PZ

old t/b get this groove in the t/b tube sometimes. mine has one. see if it has one. maybe the spring has binded up. could be a couple of things. backfiring could be running rich or lean. pull some plugs and see what they look like. you might just want to do a cap, plug, rotor and fluid change for a tune up and see where your at.

check your grounds. 9 times out of 10 those whacky electrical issues are only grounds.

popping doesn't always come from running rich, there are many things to check....retarded timing can cause these symptoms= check timing.... a grounding out ignition cable =(happened yesturday to me and was spuddering and poping back through the intake) I'd check all ignition components like cap rotor wires plugs ect ect..... and clean the mass air sensor with cleaner... they sell it at most parts stores.
