lookin at a 79 what kind of mpg?

ive been looking at getting a mustang for a LONG time (since i was 14) and ive been looking at this 1979, it has a 302 bored 30 over with a stock rebuilt 2 brl, c4 tranny, and a single burner rear end. what kind of mileage is it lookin like? just curious....

Probably not the best gas milage with the c4. Maybe 10-15mpg.

UHHHH 15MPG maybe???? but if your looking into a mustang expecially a carbed on and mod it gas milage will be in the toilet unless you tune it right but best you may get is around 20 if tuned right and you keep your foot off the floor board

how hard would it be to put an aod in it? or could i? then what might that bring me up to?

If you're that concerned about gas mileage don't buy a mustang. Besides, the C4 is a stronger trans and you should keep it over an AOD.

A 4 barrel will actually help your MPG. The primarys are smaller than a 2 barrel, so you'll save on some gas, that is, untill you open up the other 2 butterflies.......
