Thats what I did, went in to the muffler shop and told the guy I wanted 2 and a half inch pipe, flows and three inch tips, He did an awesome job and I did not have to pay for an inflated name brand.

If you have no emmission laws in your state, don't waste the time gutting them....like they said, buy an off-road pipe.

The next question is which way to go, H or X

just buy an o/r x pipe, they sound louder and mean, if you dont like it switch it back so you wont have gutted cats.

i got stock mufflers 86gt. im going to get a x pipe and gut the stock mufflers and weld them back up and see what that sounds like, i imagine it will loud lol

i had a car like that its way too loud trust me, just unbolt ur mufflers and drive around, u can slpi the flange over and bolt it offset , it was too loud like that as well with cats on mine. gutting kittens right now as we speek just took a braek

anyway I had a mexico shop cut out the cats and weld in patches, sounded pretty nice [8D]all for 20 bucks too
