only problems i have with mine is the transmission... but its not a stocker, its a rebuild from astro... so not really something i can blame on the quality of the car... im at 90,000 and still goin strong

the doors are what usually rust the worst, and the hatches, mostly under the wing and sometimes the bottom of the rad support can get a hole in it....

My 120k mile 88 GT has been pretty good to me. I had to sink about $2500 into it within the first six months of owning it. Since then, it's been dead reliable. The only thing I've replaced recently was the stock, plastic, 19-year-old clutch quadrant--a silly design concept to begin with, if you ask me. I drive my car fairly aggressively on a regular basis, and the giant lump of a motor starts every time, and pulls like a freight train. I think these cars are some of the more reliable cars of this age, and will runforever with constant fresh oil and a little respect.

just look at my sig
its my 14 second daily driver with more miles than an 80's civic
ive got some money into it but just things any old car should have. upgraded suspension, tuned fuel system, upgraded brakes, etc..
motor and tranny are untouched.

I have 135K on mine, original engine. Slightly modded. Nothing has broke per-say, but with any 18 year old car I have started needing to replace things like suspension components. But I just look at this as a chance to upgrade and mod. Whenever something does break or wearout, I always replace with the best I can afford. I did replace my trans, but do to my fault a few years ago. (missed a gear, or 2 at the track powershifting) so not exactly the cars fault. Some out there are hunks of junk, but don't be scared of mileage if the car has not been neglected.
